Position Title: Senior ICT strategist
Business Division: Information and Communication Technology

Primary Purpose of the Job:

  • The IT Architect (Strategist) plays key role in the development and implementation of the Corporate ICT overall enterprise architecture (EA) framework, execution plans, functions and  templates, relating to the information systems and technologies that the Corporation uses. 
  • The architect sets the technical planning approach and builds ICT application, infrastructure and data architecture components and processes needed to execute the strategy.

Education:

  • Bachelors or Masters level degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or an appropriate/equivalent Engineering/Business field.
  • Related ICT professional certifications and/or experience, preferably in direct application in the Oil and Gas sector.

Experience & Skills:

  • A minimum of 9 years of progressive experience in an enterprise ICT environment, with at least 4 years of demonstrated strategy management.  Oil and gas industry experience is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge in emerging technologies, systems, applications and processes for establishing scalable ICT architecture inline with corporate immediate and long term business objectives.
  • Excellent experience and proven record in developing/implementing ICT strategic plans based on Balanced Scorecard or similar methodologies, and establishing ICT enterprise architecture (EA) frameworks and blueprints in reference to industry standard models, governance frameworks and best practices. Specifically requires knowledge and preferably certifications in TOGAF, Zachman and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) backed up by years of experience and implementations of enterprise networking, data centers, client support solutions, ERP, databases, MDM, etc.
  • Excellent experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and the implementation of related processes, policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Operates independently using mature judgment in planning and performing assignments and achieving defined objectives.
  • Excellent people management, problem solving, persuasion, negotiation, and decision making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and communicate with a multi-cultural and multi-national workforce.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate concepts as appropriate to customers, and contractors.
