Position Title: Occupational Health Officer
Business Division: Health Safety and Environment

Primary Purpose of the Job:

  • Consistent with the GTH strategy, the role of GTH/1 is to assure that the health and welfare of the workforce within the whole of the Petroleum Industry are appropriately managed in accordance with Legal requirements, regulations and industry best practices and that the HSE expectations of the Directorate including appropriate risk management are being realized by the industry.

Education:

  • Holder of Occupational Health / Public Health / or Equivalent degree.

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years of occupational health experience within oil and gas industry
  • Must have analytical skills to recognize trends, risks and root causes from where to develop and implement solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop long range goals, strategies and plans and ultimately make recommendations on improvement.
  • Experience with common office environment software, data base and computer technology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of financial management, expenditure approval and tendering processes including good business principles.
  • Demonstrate high standards for ethics and integrity and relate these to HSE programs.
