The ISO-certified QP Administration Directorate strives to provide quality customer service with cost discipline to support QP core business in the five ‘Key Result Areas’ of Human Resources, Qatarization, Training, Medical, and Services (housing, facilities, maintenance, transport, offices, recreation and non-technical records).
The Directorate’s vision is: “To optimize all available resources so that Qatar Petroleum can be recognized nationally and internationally as an ‘employer of choice’ in the hydrocarbon industry”
A high priority is to train and develop employees, expatriate and national, in the latest technology, best practices and business challenges. State of the art training centers in Doha and other locations are in various stages of implementation, governance of which rests with the participating QP-affiliated companies.
QP is spearheading the energy and industry sector’s ambitious five-year Strategic Qatarization Plan to maximize the employment of Qatari nationals, preparing them through training and work experience for career opportunities that best exploit their talents and optimize their contribution to the needs of the industry. New initiatives and approaches focusing on quality and competence in employment have been adopted to meet the 50% Qatarization plan.
QP provides its employees and their eligible dependants with primary and specialist medical care, sports and recreation facilities, catering, housing and maintenance reflecting QP’s concern for the human aspect of the industry.
