MISSION
To meet the evolving needs of the Energy and Industry Sector for highly qualified and competent workforce as it strives to realize and work toward the goal of the Qatar Vision 2030, we provide scholarship opportunities to Qatari students seeking to successfully pursue their higher education studies and assume occupational careers of bright future in the oil and gas industry and other related business sectors.
OBJECTIVE
Based on operational demands and to hit the targets of the Energy and Industry Strategic Qatarization plans, respond effectively to the need of selected young Qatari candidates with good potential and required secondary school final grades, by sponsoring their enrollment into quality local or overseas higher education institutions to do diploma or degree programs in engineering and other diverse disciplines.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To apply to a QP scholarship, the candidate should fulfill the following requirements:

Must be Qatari.

Not more than 25 years old.

High School Certificate or equivalent obtained later than 2012 (Priority will be given to 2013 graduates) with an overall mark of at least:
- 80% for students from Qatari & Arabic Schools.
- 75% for students from Western Schools. Certificates should be authenticated by the Supreme Education Council.
- Official Certificate of IELTS or TOEFL with a minimum score of: 5.5 in the IELTS or 71 in the iBT (Internet Based TOEFL).
- Unconditional Acceptance Letter to study a degree program in a discipline required by Qatar Petroleum.. The offering university should be recognized by the Higher Education Institute.

Pass a personal interview.

Must accept the department and work location as assigned by Qatar Petroleum.

INCENTIVES AND REWARDS
As per the rules and regulations under the Qatar Petroleum Scholarship Programme, the scholarship recipient shall benefit from the following incentives and rewards;
- Monthly allowances
- Travel economy ticket and other concessional tickets, in accordance with Qatar Petroleum policy
- Mobilisation allowance
- Demobilisation allowance
