Qatar Petroleum retrieves crude oil, associated gas, condensate and non-associated gas from the Dukhan Field, which produces from four major hydrocarbon reservoirs, three of which produce oil and the fourth produces non-associated gas. The field is approximately 60 km long and 25 km wide. Oil production from the Dukhan Field started in 1949.
QP Onshore crude oil and condensate reserves (as of 01/01/2000) are estimated at 1,842 million barrels and 198 million barrels respectively. Onshore gas reserves amount to some eight trillion cubic feet (Tcf).
