​Education ​BSC in Petroleum and Natural Gas from Pennsylvania State University.


H.E. joined Qatar Petroleum in 1986 as a student studying Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering at Pennsylvania State University in the USA. He graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering, and joined Qatar Petroleum’s Reservoir & Field Development Department, where he progressed through various petroleum engineering, technical, commercial and supervisory positions.
In September 2014, Mr. Al-Kaabi was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of Qatar P​​etroleum, where he oversaw Qatar Petroleum’s gas, oil and petrochemical developments in Qatar and internationally.
On November 4, 2018, His Excellency Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi was appointed Minister of State for Energy Affairs and Cabinet member of the State of Qatar, and Deputy Chairman of Qatar Petroleum, in addition to his position as President & CEO.

​H.E. Ali bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari

Bachelors of Mathematics and Computer Science from Eastern Washington University.


H.E. served as the Group Chief Executive Officer of Qatar National Bank from 2013 to 2018. His Excellency has more than 30 years of experience in the banking and financial sector in Qatar.

​Mr. Nasser Khalil Al Jaidah


​Education BSC in Geology & Earth & Mineral Science from Western Michigan University.


Nasser Khalil Al Jaidah joined Qatar Petroleum in 1977 as well-site Petroleum Engineer. During his 40 years of service at Qatar Petroleum, he was involved directly in the major transformation of the oil and gas industry in both Upstream and Downstream Projects in Qatar. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Petroleum International until 2015.

​Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani


​Education MBA from Pacific Lutheran University, Washington, United States.


Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani joined Qatar Petroleum in 1991. He held different positions in the Company including Business Development Manager of Mesaieed Industrial City and Director of Ras Laffan before taking over as the Chief Executive Officer of Qatargas in 2010. He also serves as Vice Chairman and CEO of the Qatargas group of companies.
He spearheaded the successful integration of the State of Qatar’s two liquefied natural gas (LNG) giants – Qatargas and RasGas – thereby creating the largest producer of LNG in the world with an annual production capacity of 77 million tonnes per annum.

Mr. Said Mubarak Al Muhannadi


​Education BSC in Electrical Engineering, Marquette University, USA.
MSC in Mechanical Engineering and Management, Cranfield Institute of Technology, UK.


Mr. Said Al Mohannadi worked for Qatar Petroleum for 38 years during which he held several senior positions and represented the organization in various boards and management committees. In November 2018, he was appointed as Board Member of Qatar Petroleum.
