Position Title: IT Project Analyst
Business Division: Information and Communication Technology

Primary Purpose of the Job:

  • The IT Project Analyst researches and recommends activities involved in the development and planning of a strategically oriented PMO by gathering, filtering and presenting the information required to deliver project portfolios, unified methodologies, performance, change, and quality with the objective of prioritizing and optimizing resulting value to ensure that the overall collection of projects is aligned with the Corporate mission and strategic goals, that the Corporate ICT Department makes the best use of its resources, and that projects are implemented on schedule, within budget, and within scope.


  • Bachelors or Masters level degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or an appropriate/equivalent Engineering/Business field.
  • PMI, PMP, PRINCE2 certifications and experience; preferably in direct application to the Oil and Gas sector.
  • Good understanding and use of business alignment tools and service strategy frameworks such as COBIT, ValIT and ITIL v3.

Experience & Skills:

  • A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in an enterprise ICT environment, with at least 2 years of demonstrated ICT program/projects management and strategic delivery experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience and proven record in supporting the establishment/implementation of PMO strategy and framework based on international standards and best practices inline with the organization business objectives and strategic goals.
  • Hands-on experience in establishing PMO related charters, methodologies, and projects performance/goal indicators to facilitate execution across the ICT organization.
  • Good knowledge and experience in supporting the establishment of projects portfolio management, change management, knowledge management and performance management processes.
  • Experience with strategic alignment tools, planning and execution (BSC), Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and Service Level Management (SLM).
  • Experience in managing and executing multiple ICT projects as per projected scope, time and within planned budgets.
  • Experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and establishment of related processes, policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and communicate within multi-cultural and multi-national workforce.
  • Excellent general communication, problem solving, persuasion, negotiation, conflict resolution and decision making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate concepts as appropriate to managements, staff, customers, and contractors.
