Position Title: Senior IT Engagement Specialist
Business Division: Information and Communication Technology

Primary Purpose of the Job:

  • The IT Senior Engagement Specialist develops and plans the relational mechanisms between the business and Corporate ICT Department by establishing, in business terms, shared expectations between the business units and the Corporate ICT Department; a set of well-planned process improvement and business/ICT culture change programmes; and improvement in the ICT effectiveness of the Corporation in order to systematically address and remove strategic alignment obstacles and to maximize the business value from ICT.


  • Bachelors or Masters level degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or an appropriate/equivalent Engineering/Business field Industry standard PMOC, PgMP, PMI, BSC, TOGAF, SOA, CGEIT, ISO 27001 and CISA certifications and experience; preferably in direct application to the Oil and Gas sector.
  • In-depth understanding and effective use of business alignment tools and service strategy frameworks such as COBIT, ValIT and ITIL v3.

Experience & Skills:

  • A minimum of 9 years of progressive experience in an enterprise ICT environment, with at least 3 years of demonstrated Corporate Engagement experience.
  • Extensive knowledge in the various areas of IT strategic alignment and partnership with the business for effective delivery and measurement of value.
  • Excellent experience and proven record in implementing engagement and communications vision, strategy, priorities and plans to effectively optimize IT resources in alignment with business objectives. Excellent knowledge and experience in the areas of selecting and aligning business projects with IT portfolio for effective delivery as per projected milestones.
  • Excellent experience in engaging with internal and external business partners for initiating and managing change management processes and overcome of obstacles related to business cultural behavior.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for promoting motivation, development and continuous performance of staff within the workforce.
  • Excellent experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and establishment of related processes, policies and procedures.
  • Excellent logical thinking, communication, problem solving, persuasion, negotiation, and decision making skills.
  • Excellent skills in the areas of conflict management and demonstration of professional attitude towards wining situations and achieving milestones.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate concepts as appropriate to managements, staff, customers, and contractors.
