Field Condensates​

Field Condensate after de-sulphurisation has lower total sulphur content. The hydrocarbon stream is highly paraffinic. It is a co-product of liquefaction of natural gas found in the Qatar offshore North Field in the Gulf. It yields paraffinic light naphtha, which is highly sought after by the Petrochemical Industry and may be used for motor gasoline blending. 
In addition, this condensate has a high yield of jet turbine quality fuel as well as high cetane gasoil with good flow properties that makes this a very attractive condensate for distillate production. It is also frequently used as a blending component with various crudes.​​

Deodorized Field Condensate (DFC)

Deodorized Field Condensate is low in mercaptan with paraffinic hydrocarbon stream. Produced as a result of liquefaction of natural gas found in Qatar’s large North Field in the Arabian Gulf, it yields paraffinic light naphtha suitable for leaded motor gasoline blending and as ethylene cracker feedstock.
In addition, this condensate has a high yield of intermediate quality (naphthenic and aromatic content) for motor gas. The high yield of jet turbine quality fuel as well as high cetane gasoil with good flow properties makes this an attractive condensate for distillate production. It is also used to blend with heavy crude.

Qatar Low Sulphur Field Condensate (QLSC)

Low Sulphur Field Condensate is de-sulphurised with reduced levels of mercaptan. Qatar produces the Low Sulphur Condensate from the North Field gas reservoir.
This condensate is primarily used in the petrochemical refineries. It is also used as a lightning agent for blending heavy oil. ​
