QatarEnergy Trading LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of QatarEnergy established in 2020, aims to establish a world-class, dedicated LNG trading arm for QatarEnergy​. Based in Doha, QatarEnergy​ Trading is tasked with building a globally diversified portfolio of third party and equity LNG.

QatarEnergy​ Trading’s activities include physical trading & origination, derivatives trading, freight trading, portfolio optimization, and trading risk management.

The establishment  of QatarEnergy Trading, and the expansion of QatarEnergy’s capabilities and reach are important steps in reaffirming the organization’s belief in LNG’s economic and environmental value proposition and its cornerstone role in the energy transition.
